BOOKING POLICIES AND STUDIO RULES

I. INTRO

These policies apply to all bookings made with
Cold Cuts Records. By scheduling a session, you agree to the terms below.

If you have any questions about these policies, please contact us before booking your session.

II. GENERAL STUDIO POLICIES

All sessions must be booked in advance through our online booking system or directly with the studio team. Walk‑ins are not guaranteed and may be refused if the schedule is full.

Only the artist(s) and a limited number of guests may attend each session. Guest limits, age requirements, and any ID checks are at the studio’s discretion. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Respect the space and equipment at all times. No food or open drinks on or near the gear, consoles, microphones, or computers. Keep all beverages on tables or in designated areas.

Smoking, vaping, and any illegal substances are not allowed inside the studio. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, in line with building rules.

Aggressive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior (by you or your guests) is not tolerated. This includes harassment, damage to property, or ignoring staff instructions.

The studio reserves the right to refuse service, pause a session, or end a session early if these policies are not followed. In such cases, no refunds or credits are guaranteed and any damages may be billed to the client.

III. PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

  • What is paid at booking vs after approval

    • 2‑Hour Studio Sessions

      • Payment (full fee or deposit, depending on current offer) is paid at booking through the online scheduler.

      • Your time is not reserved until payment is successfully processed.

    • 4‑Hour Studio Sessions

      • Booking requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of the session date.

      • A session deposit is required at booking to confirm your 4‑hour block.

      • Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is paid.

    • Multi‑Day / Album Sessions

      • Booking requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of the first requested date.

      • After the studio reviews your project and confirms dates, a 50% deposit is required to secure the full block of days.

      • Dates are not locked in until the deposit is received.

    • “Book Me Near You” (Mobile / Off‑Site Sessions)

      • “Book Me Near You” is an engineer‑for‑hire service. You are responsible for booking and paying for the studio where the session will take place; the engineer does not provide a physical studio space.

      • Booking requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of the requested date.

      • Once the studio confirms they can take the session and any travel requirements, a deposit (or full payment, depending on the project) is required to confirm the booking.

  • What counts as a deposit & when the balance is due

    • A deposit is a portion of the total session price paid in advance to hold your date and time. Deposits are applied to your final bill for that session or project and are subject to the cancellation policies on this page.

    • For 2‑hour sessions, if only a deposit is charged at booking, the remaining balance is typically due on the day of the session before or at the end of the recording.

    • For 4‑hour sessions, the deposit is paid at booking; any remaining balance is due on or before the session date, as instructed by the studio.

    • For multi‑day / album sessions, the deposit (usually 50%) holds all agreed dates. The remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule you agree with the studio (for example, split across days or due on the final day).

    • For “Book Me Near You” sessions, the deposit or full payment secures the date and covers the engineer’s time plus any agreed travel costs at the studio you have booked. Any remaining balance is due as specified in your invoice (often on or before the session date).

  • Accepted payment methods

    • All online payments for bookings and invoices are processed through PayPal using the official links provided on the website or in your confirmation/invoice emails.

    • Cash or other payment methods for remaining balances may be accepted at the studio’s discretion and must be agreed in advance.

    • Do not send payments to any account or link that is not officially provided by the studio in our booking system, invoices, or direct communication

IV. Rescheduling, Cancellations, Grace Period & No‑Shows

  • Standard notice window

    • For regular sessions (2‑hour, 4‑hour, consultations), we require at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel without penalty.

    • For multi‑day/album bookings and “Book Me Near You” mobile sessions, we require at least 48 hours’ notice because of the extra planning, time blocks, and travel involved.

    • Requests made inside these windows are treated as last‑minute changes and may result in loss of deposit or payment.

  • One‑time grace period for 2‑hour sessions

    • For 2‑hour studio sessions, we offer a one‑time grace period for late changes.

    • On your first late cancellation or reschedule (within 24 hours of your start time), we’ll allow your payment to be applied once as a credit toward a future 2‑hour session, subject to availability.

    • The grace period is per client, not per booking. Once it’s used, it does not reset.

  • After the grace period is used (2‑hour sessions)

    • After your grace period has been used, any future cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of a 2‑hour session are treated as final.

    • In these cases, payments are non‑refundable and no additional credit will be issued, even if you rebook another date.

    • This policy helps us protect studio and engineer time and keep the schedule fair for all clients.

  • Rescheduling and cancellations for 4‑hour, multi‑day, and mobile sessions

    • For 4‑hour, multi‑day/album, and “Book Me Near You” sessions, deposits are used to hold larger blocks of time.

    • If you cancel or reschedule inside the required notice window (24 or 48 hours, depending on the service), your deposit/payment may be partially or fully forfeited according to the specific service rules on this page.

    • These longer or mobile bookings do not use the 2‑hour grace period.

  • No‑show policy (all services)

    • A no‑show means you do not arrive for your session and do not contact us before your scheduled start time.

    • No‑shows are always non‑refundable for all services (2‑hour, 4‑hour, multi‑day/album, mobile/Book Me Near You, and consultations).

    • No credit will be issued for missed appointments, and repeated no‑shows may result in future bookings being declined.

V. SERVICE-SPECIFIC POLICIES

v.a 2‑Hour Studio Sessions

2‑hour studio sessions are paid at booking through the online scheduler (either in full or as a deposit, depending on the current offer). They follow a 24‑hour reschedule/cancellation window and include a one‑time grace period for late changes, where your first late cancel or reschedule can be applied as a credit toward a future 2‑hour session.

v.b 4‑Hour Studio Sessions

4‑hour studio sessions must be booked at least 7 days in advance. A session deposit is required to confirm your 4‑hour block, and standard 24‑hour reschedule/cancellation rules apply; late changes may result in partial or full forfeiture of your deposit.

v.c Multi‑Day / Album Sessions

Multi‑day and album bookings require booking at least 7 days in advance and a 50% deposit once dates are confirmed. These sessions have a stricter 48‑hour reschedule/cancellation window, and changes inside that window may result in partial or full loss of the deposit due to the larger time commitment.

v.d “Book Me Near You” (Mobile / Off‑Site)

“Book Me Near You” is an engineer‑for‑hire service where the engineer comes to a third‑party studio that you book and pay for separately. The engineer brings a laptop and software to run your session using that studio’s microphones, interface, and other gear, and it is your responsibility to make sure the studio allows outside engineers and laptop‑based setups. These sessions require at least 7 days’ notice and a deposit or full payment once your request is approved. They follow a stricter 48‑hour reschedule/cancellation policy, and late changes or no‑shows can result in forfeiture of the deposit and any travel‑related fees.

v.e Consultation Calls

Consultation calls are paid at booking to secure your time. They follow the standard 24‑hour reschedule/cancellation window, and changes made within 24 hours of your scheduled call are non‑refundable and not eligible for credit.
